Conditions of Membership
  • Loans
  • - Maximum of 8 items per membership with a loan period of 3 weeks
  • - Items can be renewed twice after the initial borrowing period
  • - Items will not be renewed if they are reserved by others
  • - Reference and local history items cannot be borrowed
  • - Borrowing of items may be refused if there are items outstanding on your account


  • Membership
  • - All members must supply proof of their current residential address and the name, address and number of an alternative contact person.
  • - Your membership entitles you to borrow, place reservations and access library services, Overdrive and Borrow Box through the State Library of Western Australia.


  • As a parent or guardian of borrower you are required to:
  • - Be present when your child/children apply for membership to be able to sign the application.
  • - Take responsibility for all items borrowed on your child/children’s cards.
  • - Be in attendance with children 12 and under at all times.
  • - To provide supervision for children 12 and under for them to access the internet from the library computers.


  • Online services
  • - Free Wi-Fi access is available
  • - Computers for public use can be accessed from opening time to 15 mins prior to closure
  • - Inappropriate use of public computers may result in loss of library access
  • - A limit of 2 persons at any one time is permitted at a public computer
  • - No food or open drinks allowed near public computers. Drinks with close-able lids are ok.
  • - No children on the computers during school hours in term time.

    • To join, accept the library conditions of membership, and complete the registration form.
    Your library card will be available for collection at any East Pilbara Council Libraries branch during opening hours.
    Bring one form of identification showing your current address (eg a licence, rates notice or bill) to collect your library card.
